Jump on a stunning scenic flight over the Southern Alps from Queenstown with Glenorchy Air, their flights depart at 9am and take you up around Fox Glacier and Franz Josef before descending into Mt. The return flight leaves Mt. Cook at 3pm over Lake Pukaki and through the Mackenzie basin before landing in Queenstown. Glenorchy Air offers complimentary pick ups and drop offs from central Queenstown hotels.

Mount Cook Airport is located within New Zealand’s Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park at the end of State Highway 80, only 15 kilometres south of the country’s highest mountain, the mighty Aoraki/Mt Cook. Glentanner Airport is near to us, which has caused confusion. Keep driving to the Mt. Cook Village, about 15 minutes beyond Glentanner and you will find us.
Check-in closes 45 minutes prior to your departure, so please allow time to travel to our base at Aoraki/Mt Cook Airport.
- If you’re travelling from Twizel, allow 1 hour.
- If you’re travelling from Tekapo, allow 1.5 hours.
- If you’re travelling from Queenstown or Wanaka, allow 3.5 hours.
